Medigarments Ltd offers a variety of specialist training courses which, designed and delivered by professional experts, are always extremely well attended.

In response to unprecedented demand for places on our Pressure Therapy & Scar Management course, which focuses on the Jobskin^® Classic collection of pressure garments, we have added a new date; in addition to the training completed yesterday on April 26th, the course will be repeated on October 11th 2023 and we are now inviting applications.

The in-depth course will be delivered and facilitated by Debra Wright, our highly-experienced Product Manager and Specialist who has been working with Medigarments Ltd for more than 16 years. As well as providing expert support and advice to clinicians, Debra also assists with the management of complex cases in the demanding field of burns and scar management. 

Debra has worked with burn and scar specialists all over the world and has helped to train healthcare professionals in the fitting of made-to-measure pressure garments as well as all aspects of silicone gel therapy. Dedicated to expanding knowledge in the fields of scar and burn management, Debra has delivered many presentations at numerous international exhibitions and conferences. 

The intensive, one-day course will begin with a welcome and introduction, after which attendees will learn more about pressure therapy and its benefits, as well as how patients are assessed for suitability. We will also look at the many ways in which pressure garments can be customised before a short break for refreshments. 

A detailed introduction to Jobskin® Classic garments will follow, including a practical demonstration of how to measure patients and how the garments should be adjusted, replaced and cared for. We will then break for lunch.

The next part of the course will focus on the use of silicone gels, including information about combination therapy with Silon-TEX^® II. There will then be time for reflection and feedback before a second refreshment break. 

The final part of the day will be set aside for delegates to try out the skills they have learned, practicing measuring techniques on each other with the full supervision and guidance of Debra. Participants will be asked to fill in a course evaluation form, after which they will be issued with an attendance certificate.
