Sensory Dynamic Orthosis - SDO® Original Gauntlet    

SDO^® Original is a made-to-measure Lycra^® garment (Class 1) medical device. The SDO^® Gauntlet can be used to resist or assist wrist extension whilst stabilising the thumb in functional extension and abduction. The SDO^® Gauntlet helps to manage increased tone or where there is poor stability due to hypermobility. SDO^® Original garments can also include the digits (see SDO^® Glove) where MCP extension is required. This garments can be either below elbow or above elbow. The SDO^® Original Gauntlet is a completely bespoke garment, therefore reinforcement panels can be added to assist extension of the wrist as well as extension and abduction of the thumb. Choosing and selecting from our complete range of reinforcement panels, combined with the garment option and chosen theme, the the desired result is achieved.

• Elbow extension (with full arm sleeve)
• Forearm supination
• Improved muscle tone
• Improved proprioception
