Sensory Dynamic Orthosis - SDO® Original Sleep Shorts   

The SDO^® Original is a made-to-measure Lycra^® garment (Class 1) medical device. The SDO^® Original sleep shorts is a made-to-measure garment to assist with the management of the potential development of deformity of body and hip alignment at rest as a result of abnormal tone. Used to increase cutaneous and proprioceptive feedback whilst providing musculoskeletal support and alignment to the torso and hips, the wearing of this garment may also contribute to improved sleep pattern with a reduction in sleep disturbance, enhancing the sleep quality and quantity of the user. The garment has been specifically designed to meet the needs of the user at rest and can be used in conjunction with a prescribed sleep system. Standard reinforcement panels, lumbar panel and either internal or external rotation can be added.

The anticipated response may include: 

• Realignment of lower limbs
• Improved sleeping alignment
• Reduced hip rotation
• Improved proprioception
